Definition
The angle of rotation is the measure of the degree through which a figure is rotated about a fixed point, called the center of rotation.
Key points:
It tells how far and in what direction the figure is turned.
Rotation is measured in degrees, usually from 0° to 360°.
A positive angle means a counterclockwise rotation.
A negative angle means a clockwise rotation.
Example:
If a triangle is rotated 90° counterclockwise about the origin, then the angle of rotation is +90°.
