Jesus
What’s with the Random Jesus Link?
No, you don’t have to be a Christian to use our resources. No, you don’t have to be a Christian to work here. And no, our goal is not to beat you over the head with the Bible. However, the story of When Math Happens has no beginning without Jesus.
At one point, I was lost, depressed, and had no idea what I was going to do with my life as a lonely college student. Then, Jesus transformed my life, leading me down a path I never expected: education. Becoming a teacher was never part of my plan, but Jesus has a way of surprising us like that.
Although this is primarily a math website, we also offer Jesus-centered resources for those who are interested. In particular, some of our personal development materials include optional faith-based reflection sections because we believe Jesus can transform people, relationships, and the way we navigate life’s challenges.
We never want anyone to feel pressured or forced into beliefs. We simply want to provide an avenue for exploration if you’re curious.
While our math content does not explicitly teach about faith, my hope is that your experience with our materials is marked by patience, kindness, joy, forgiveness, and peace.

Sermons
The following churches and their online sermons have been very helpful for me over the years.

Bible Reading Plan
Consider checking out The Bible Project for reading plans and other helpful resources to work through the entire Bible.
Churches
There is no perfect church and no foolproof way of finding a healthy one. The Acts 29 and Gospel Coalition directories can be a place to start a search though.
