MISSION
Math for People Who Don’t Like Math
Simply put, our mission is to create Math for people who don’t like Math. Whether you love Math, hate it, are afraid of it, or anything in between, we’re here to help. We provide a safe, supportive space where anyone can learn, grow, and thrive in math.
However, just because we create Math for people who don’t like Math doesn’t mean we dumb it down. We believe everyone deserves access to challenging, thought-provoking problems. We move away from personalized learning systems that keep students from reaching higher-level concepts. Instead, we provide access to all levels of problems in a low-pressure environment where anyone can explore math at their own pace.
Unprecedented Access
We believe every person has the capacity to grow, adapt, and create new conditions for themselves—when they have the tools to do so. But life doesn’t give everyone the same starting point. Students move, families face disruptions, and teachers often lack the resources they need. No one should fall behind simply because key information wasn’t within reach.
That’s why we’re committed to offering unprecedented access to the entire math community—students, parents, teachers, and anyone who wants to learn. Every resource is built to give people the full landscape of their subject, so no one feels lost simply because the information wasn’t available.
This mission began the year I started teaching, scrambling to find materials each day because I didn’t have access myself. I wanted to create what I needed back then: a one-stop place where teachers could find the highest-quality resources without waiting for a district adoption or a budget approval. And we want families to have the same level of access—to understand what their students are learning, to support them confidently, and to never feel helpless at the kitchen table.
Our goal is simple: to make resources so good they should be hard to access because of their quality, yet fully available to all, without barriers or a high price tag. Everyone deserves the tools to unlock their capacity, and we’re here to make sure they have them.
Strengthen Relationships to Foster Learning
We believe learning is most effective when relationships are strong. Without solid connections, both academic progress and personal growth are challenged. That’s why, in addition to math resources, we are committed to offering tools that help build and strengthen relationships. Whether between students and teachers, parents and students, teachers and administrators, and so on, strong relationships create an environment where learning thrives.
