Definition
In geometry, to bisect means to divide something into two equal parts.
More specifically:
When you bisect a line segment, you divide it into two equal-length segments.
When you bisect an angle, you divide it into two angles with equal measures.
A line, ray, or segment that does the dividing is often called a bisector.
