Congruent figures are figures that have the same size and shape.
Key Points:
All corresponding sides are equal in length.
All corresponding angles are equal in measure.
One figure can be moved (translated), rotated, or reflected to match the other exactly.
The figures do not have to be in the same position or orientation.
Example:
Two triangles are congruent if you can slide, flip, or turn one so that it fits exactly over the other — with all sides and angles matching.
