Definition
An angle formed outside a polygon by extending one of its sides.
In simple terms:
The angle on the outside when you extend a side of a shape.
Example:
If you extend one side of parallelogram ABCD, the angle formed outside the figure is an exterior angle.
Important Note:
An exterior angle and its adjacent interior angle form a linear pair, meaning they add up to 180°.
