Definition
A midpoint is the point that is exactly halfway between the two endpoints of a line segment.
It divides the segment into two equal parts.
If the segment is on a coordinate plane, the midpoint can be found using the midpoint formula:

This gives the coordinates of the point that is right in the middle of the segment.
