Definition
A perpendicular bisector is a line, segment, or ray that:
Intersects a segment at its midpoint (it bisects the segment), and
Forms a 90-degree angle with that segment (it is perpendicular to it).
In other words, a perpendicular bisector cuts a segment exactly in half and does so at a right angle.
